How Much Does It Cost?
$995 Canadian. There are no upsells at checkout, no taxes and no annual fees.
You need a computer and high speed internet. Your internet must be reliable and of high enough speed to accommodate smooth video calls. Having a good quality web cam and microphone are advised as finances permit.

What's My Risk?
People who take the eTeachEnglish system have limited downside risk. Here’s why:
About 75% of people who “successfully complete” a recognized TEFL course from any company will find work within 6 months. Because we work with you to help you find work, your chances increase. Most important on this point is that we’ll help you find ‘good’ jobs that pay higher and are with better employers with better conditions.
Our practice teaching is with real students. Most companies role play among the class. Employers know the difference. They love our graduates! That makes you more employable, faster.
Our students are usually working in less than two months of completion, and mostly faster. They also earn more and are happier employees.
After you’ve developed some skills, we provide a course in entrepreneurship to help you transition, if you choose. This is a $495 course that we are including in our March Break package.
We continuously look for new ways to help our students. In recent months, we have not had a person who was not employed within 2 months of completion. Most found their employment even faster.
What’s your risk? It’s very low and getting lower.
Do I Have To Pay It All Up Front?
At present, you have to pay it all up front, but we’re working with our suppliers to cut a financing deal. It may be 34% up front with 33% more paid at 30 days and 60 days. The certificate would not be issued until payment was full.
How Long Does It Take?
In a best case scenario, people should budget 3 weeks to complete the 150 hour course.
If you are working full-time, this may not be possible and we know and understand this. If you only have 5-6 hours per week, we provide 6 months for completion. If required, more time can be negotiated, but that is subject to a financial penalty.
We prefer to have a few people work together with a mentor, as people tend to help one another and dialogue is more whole. A new mentoring group will be assembled as volume dictates, which even in the slow times will be within 2-4 weeks.
Within 2-4 weeks of this, most people will find work.
Total time is therefore between 6-9 weeks, for most people.
Why Do I Have To Pay To Get A Job?
This is education. Your certificate is recognized internationally. It’s like your university degree or college diploma. Your TEFL certification is similar. It never expires and is recognized worldwide.
How Does eTeachEnglish Compare To Other Companies?
There will always be better and worse. Programs taught at universities often exceed $5,000 and are premium programs that require significantly more time but are very well recognized.
Courses having 40, 60, 80 or 100 hours of instruction do not meet industry requirements. Indistry demand that course need to have at least 120 hours of instruction to be recognized for valid employment in most places. eTeachEnglish falls into the center of the TEFL market. There are low priced and even free courses advertised. If it sounds too good to be true, you can be sure that it is. Do You Guarantee Me A Job?
Some companies do, but we do not, and here’s why:
One company that trains TEFL teachers to work in classrooms in exotic locations, ran an ad that read, “Job Guaranteed!” The let-down was that after paying $2,100 for the course, the job was paying $175 per week with a 12-month contract. Sadly, costs were higher than income AND it was up to the job-seeker to pay transportation to and from the destination. There was a second job in a place where geopolitical risk and danger ran very high. Beware, because job guarantees can be worthless.

Is The Program Accredited and Recognized?
Accreditation needs to come from OFQUAL or OTTSA. Both are recognized.
Accreditation is expensive so some companies became created and stated their own accrediting agencies so they could accredit their own course. We don’t do that. Look for our course on OTTSA.org. Our course is eTEFL Online.
